Good news! The heating system is currently working again at the Louisa Centre and the centre is slowly starting to heat up again, therefore classes will run at the Louisa Centre as planned today! We look forward to seeing all of our Members at their classes again tonight!
Due to a heating breakdown at the Louisa Centre, all classes at the Louisa Centre are cancelled tonight, Wednesday 5th December 2018. Due to the short notice of this cancellation, Members are being offered the opportunity to transfer to classes at the Sandhill Centre tonight. Members are asked to check their emails for more information!
We are working with the Louisa Centre to assess whether classes can run on Thursday and Friday this week - we ask Members continue to check our website for the latest updates.
After several months of hard work, the new AAA Tigers teams had their first competition performance this weekend as part of the UKCA Winter Championships, held in Manchester. Many of the Members were taking part in their first ever competition, while many Members were looking to compete in even higher, more difficult competition levels, including our very first Level 5 Stunt Group!
After the success of the 2017/18 teams, the challenge was on the 2018/19 teams to keep up the great results - and they managed it with 7 of the 9 teams competing gaining podium finishes at the event, including 4 x 1st place finishes!
Videos of each of the routines can now be found on our Facebook page, with results from the event available below. Congratulations to everyone who took part and their Coaches!
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Tyne & Wear Schools Trampoline competition earlier in the month. Each competitor was also competing on behalf of their region, with points being earned for each region based on the competition results. For the 11th year running, Gateshead were crowned the Partnership Champion!

The British Gymnastics National Awards will take place on Saturday 26th January 2019 in Birmingham, and AAAsports are proud to announce they have been shortlisted in the National Club of the Year category!
This category recognises British Gymnastics clubs which provide quality experiences for their Members - with initiatives including the AAAsports Academy, the AAAsports Coach Education Programme and the new Skills Tracking facility combined with our dedication to Disability Inclusion, Outreach Events and the AAAsports Championships, AAAsports are proud that these experiences have been recognised by our national governing body. This follows successes in previous years, with AAAsports having already won the National Education Award and National Inclusion Awards!
In addition to this shortlisting, AAAsports Coach and national level competitor Bradley Welsh has been shortlisted in the National Young Volunteer of the Year category! This award recognises the high level of commitment and enthusiasm that Bradley demonstrates to activities across our sport, and the opportunities he has helped to provide to our Members! Bradley will be hoping to follow the trend set by AAAsports Coach Jacob Reed, who previously won the National Young Volunteer of the Year Award, and also AAAsports Coach Susan Robertson who was named the National Volunteer of the Year at last years ceremony!
Congratulations to everyone who has helped us to gain these fantastic nominations and good luck to everyone shortlisted for awards - look out for the results in January 2019! Read more about the Awards here!

A trip to Sheffield for the Trampoline & DMT League Finals proved hugely successful for Members of the Trampoline & DMT Squads this weekend! After travelling to qualifying events in Southampton, Burgess Hill and South Shields this year to gain qualification points to the event, Dan, Ollie, Matthew and Millie travelled to Sheffield to compete to be crowned League Champion 2018!
Competing across Individual Trampoline, Synchro Trampoline and DMT, Members performed exceptionally across the weekend, with some great results for our Members!
In the DMT event, all 4 Members competed great passes, with Ollie managing to secure 3rd place in the 9-12 League 3 Boys Event!
Across in Trampoline, Dan performed his most complex routine to date and secured 2nd in the 9-12 League 1 Boys Event. Meanwhile, Ollie achieved an excellent result by claiming 1st place in the 9-10 League 3 Boys Event to become League Champion 2018!

After over a year of design, research and testing, our constant drive to be able to offer the best possible Classes has led to an exciting change within AAAsports!
From Friday 2nd November 2018 our online Skills Tracking system will go live, meaning Members can check their progress within their AAAsports classes anywhere, anytime, through their myAAA account!
The online system will allow Members to see what Awards they have achieved, what skills they have mastered in their AAAsports Classes and what they will be working on in the future! This is an exciting development for everyone at AAAsports and we can't wait to see our Members use this fantastic new service!
Members will also be able to monitor how close they are to mastering all of the skills in each of our class levels and see what skills need to be completed before progressing to our next class level!
Being able to track and monitor progression was the biggest request we received in our End of Year Questionnaire, and we're confident that this will allow our Members to do just that! All Participation classes in Gymnastics, Trampoline, Cheerleading and Pre-School are currently covered, with information being updated within 48 hours of each AAAsports class.
AAAsports are one of the first in the UK to be able to offer this level of service to our Members, along with 24/7 access to managing their own classes online, all at no extra cost to AAAsports Members. For more information on our Skills Tracking facility, click here!
Don't forget to let us know what you think of this fantastic new addition to AAAsports!

Thank you to all of our Members and their families who helped make this day a success for everyone!

In order to minimise disruption to our Members, our classes will continue to run as normal during these times however there will be no toilet or changing facilities available. We advise that all Members arrive fully changed and ready to take part in their activities and that they use toilet facilities elsewhere before arriving for their class.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our Members, and we appreciate your understanding while we enhance these areas for your future use!

Due to a training course taking place for our Coaches, AAAHQ will be closed until 4pm on Tuesday 28th August. Please feel free to leave us a voicemail or email membership@AAAsports.co.uk and our team will get back to you as soon as possible!
We're always sad to see any opportunity to Trampoline close down in our area, but we're especially sad for the employees of Gravity Force Sunderland who lost their jobs last week.
We'd like to offer those affected by this closure the chance to train as a qualified Trampoline Coach and gain employment with AAAsports instead, helping to deliver our fantastic sport to hundreds of Members each week in our classes and to help deliver in schools with our Community Outreach programme.
If you, or anyone you know, have lost their jobs as a result of this closure, please email us at info@AAAsports.co.uk and we will help to get you working for AAAsports instead!
In addition - if you held an Annual Membership for Gravity Force, we will happily transfer you on to a PAYG Membership for our Freestyle classes at no charge! Contact us for more information!
A reminder to all Members - classes are cancelled on Monday 27th August at both AAAsports Sunderland and the Sandhill Centre due to the Bank Holiday. Classes will resume as normal the following week!
The results from our End of Year Questionnaire are in, with the largest number of responses we've ever received! Thank you to all of our Members who completed the Questionnaire - your feedback helps us to further improve AAAsports classes for everyone.
Overall, we received another excellent set of results with a staggering 96.45% saying you would recommend us to a friend, and an overall satisfaction rating of over 4.5 out of 5!
We're really pleased with these results, but we're not stopping there. Keep reading to find out some further feedback and planned improvements for 2018/19!
For the second year running, you've told us that progression in our classes in incredibly important to you. This year we launched a number of different levels in our classes, which has helped to offer more progression opportunities to our Members. We're happy to see that Members believe they made more progress under this programme, and now we're looking to demonstrate that to every Member!
We have been working hard on a brand new progression monitoring system that will give Members the opportunity to track their progress from home through their myAAA account! We're in the final stages of testing and hope that this system will be ready to launch later this year!
In addition, we have taken on board feedback regarding our Award Assessment weeks - these will continue to run 6 times per year and will also be trackable through the new monitoring system, helping us to reduce errors and improve progression.
Members have told us that communication with AAAsports is continuing to improve, however Members sometimes find it difficult to get in touch with us. On further investigation, we found that many Members are trying to contact us when our office is closed or that Members have not opted-in to receive our emails.
As a reminder, our office is staffed from 10am to 5pm every weekday and can be contacted on 03335 776787, with a voicemail system available outside of these times. Members can also send us an email or leave a message through our website - we aim to respond to all messages within 1 working day. To opt-in to emails, please log in to your myAAA account - this is vital for class amendments, cancellations and other information as we do not provide paper handouts.
Members are always welcome to speak to the Greeter at their class who will be happy to provide assistance wherever they can, while at Squad level we will be introducing an Induction Meeting for Squad parents, with two more meetings planned for later in the year.
Consistency & Supervision
Our Members have highlighted that there have been a number of changes to our Coaching Team throughout the 2017/18 season. Unfortunately this is unavoidable in many cases, due to a small number of Coaches who have moved on this year, but also due to holidays, competitions and special events taking place through the year. Several Members also moved groups this year, which again resulted in a change of Coach for these Members.
As a rule, we prefer to maintain consistency in our Coaching Team to the greatest extent possible, and we will continue to do so throughout the 2018/19 season. In certain circumstances, such as Coaches holidays, training courses and competition attendance for example, change is unavoidable and we appreciate your understanding when these changes occur.
Finally, we would like to remind our Members that we have a Coach to Member ratio a lot lower than other providers! At AAAsports we have maximum ratio of:
* 8 Members to 1 Coach in Gymnastics, DMT and Pre-School Gymnastics, using 1 piece of apparatus at a time
* 10 Members to 1 Coach in Trampoline and Pre-School Trampoline, split across 2 trampolines
In between coached stations in these disciplines, all Members are provided with progressive self-guided side station activities designed to keep Members active throughout their time in our classes - please encourage all Members to join in with these activities!
Our Members have told us that they're really happy with the prices we charge for our Classes and Membership Fees, and we're happy to announce that we are freezing these prices for the 2018/19 season! In addition, we have set up a brand new pricing structure for our AAA Days which has proven very popular with our Members!
Members also said they liked the consistency of our monthly pricing based on classes spread across the year rather than per class attended each month. In order to keep this simple pricing structure in place, we are unable to offer holidays or refunds for cancelled classes, however we are reassured that Members appreciate the additional free classes that they receive each month!
AAAsports Championships & Presentation Ceremony
Our Members, family and friends absolutely loved the AAAsports Championships & Presentation Ceremony, celebrating it as their highlight of the year! You've told us that the food quality at the Presentation Ceremony was poor, however were generally happy with the price of the event. Unfortunately we are not able to improve the standard of the food without significantly increasing the price of the event, but we will be working with the venue to try and find an alternative offer for the 2019 event.
Thank you once again for all your feedback and we look forward to another successful season! Remember, you can always send us feedback through the year by emailing membership@AAAsports.co.uk!
