Trampoline Members from across AAAsports travelled to Northern Ireland this weekend to compete in the Zonal Schools Trampoline Competition. Having qualified to compete in this event back in December in Ashington, Ava, Dan, Hannah, Ollie, Sam and Tom all flew across the Irish Sea to compete against the best competitors from Yorkshire, North West and Northern Ireland. Competition was fierce, with everyone aiming to qualify to the National Schools Trampoline Finals being held in March in the West Midlands.
All 7 AAAsports Members performed excellent routines and came away with some fantastic results, especially Ollie, Dan and Sam who all finished on the podium and qualified to compete in the next round! Well done everyone!
Following the competition, the team took the chance to visit the sights of Belfast, including the Titanic Museum and the Dome at Victoria Square! An excellent weekend for everyone involved - check out our Facebook page for more photos and videos from the competition!
AAAsports hosted the first Regional Trampoline & DMT NDP competition of the 2018/19 season this weekend, with Members from across our Intermediate Squads taking part in the event. Each Member was not only competing against other competitors in their category, but also aiming to gain the highest score possible to enable them to move to the next round of competition.
There were some fantastic results from across the event, especially for many of our Members who were competing at this level for the very first time! Three Members won their event and gained the scores needed to move forward to the next round:
* Emily - 1st - TRA Club Age 7-8 Female
* Mya - 1st - TRA NDP 3 Age 11-12 Female
* Ruby - 1st - TRA NDP 2 Age 9-10 Female
Meanwhile in the DMT event, our Members were again working towards qualification scores in addition to their overall position, with some great podium placings as well:
* Ava - 2nd - DMT NDP 1 Age 9-10 Female
* Isabel - 1st - DMT NDP 1 Age 13+ Female
* Mya - 1st - DMT NDP 2 Age 11-12 Female
This event also proved the incredible support shown to us by our our Coaches, our Academy Members, our Squad Members and their families, many of whom spent the entire day at AAAsports Sunderland helping to make sure the event was a success. Many of our Members provided help in our Marketplace, supported other Members and even judged throughout the day, all before helping to return the facility to its normal setup ready for classes the next day. Thank you to all of our Members and their families who helped make this day a success for everyone!
Full results from the competition can be found below.
