SAFEGUARDING
At AAAsports, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all our Members,
following British Gymnastics guidelines
MEET OUR WELFARE OFFICER
Karen Dodds has been with AAAsports since the very beginning, bringing a wealth of experience, knowledge, and compassion to our community.
With a strong background as a Special Needs Teacher, Karen has played a key role in developing our inclusive approach, especially supporting Members with disabilities. As our Community and Facilities Manager, she engages with local schools, manages our dedicated centre, and promotes inclusivity across all AAAsports activities.
Karen’s passion for supporting children and young people extends beyond AAAsports — she has even volunteered abroad in Bulgaria, helping children with special educational needs.
Outside of work, Karen is a huge fan of The Eagles, loves family holidays, and cherishes time spent with her grandchildren.
Karen’s warm, approachable nature and deep safeguarding knowledge ensure that every Member feels safe, supported, and valued. If you have any questions or concerns, Karen is always happy to help.
Our Coaches use safe, respectful coaching techniques, following the latest British Gymnastics Flexibility and Safeguarding Policies
