NOTES FROM OUR COACHES
Our Coaches have noticed a few helpful points for Members over our pilot classes:
- Please don't be offended if we can't interact with you as much as we'd like! High fives, handshakes and fist-bumps are all banned right now, but we will let you know when we're impressed with you!
- We really want to help support you on your skills, but right now we can't! However, we have a range of great verbal coaching points to give you so listen carefully!
- Because everyone is so spread out, sometimes we have to shout! This isn't to upset you and we're not upset with you, but we need everyone to hear us!
REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERS
Members should be aware that all classes will be completed under Social Distancing rules. This means that all Members must:
- Sanitise their hands on arrival at their class, and again during the class
- Adhere to social distancing rules at all times, staying within their own boxes marked within each class
- Arrive prepared to take part in activities - there are currently no changing facilities available
- Toilet facilities are available, but we ask that Members use facilities before arriving at their class
- Only bring items that are required for your class such as a water bottle, no bags please!
- On arrival, head straight to the gym entrance and place your shoes and water bottle in one of our units - please don't share units!
- Please note - Members who arrive late may not be able to access their classes!
REQUIREMENTS FOR SPECTATORS
Please be aware that spectators are strictly limited due to social distancing and all spectators must adhere to social distancing rules:
- Spectator positions are prioritised for Members aged 6 and under, with remaining seating allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. We would love to welcome everyone back to watch our classes, but unfortunately this is not possible at this time.
- Spectators who leave during a class may not be readmitted.
- Please only bring one adult for each Member attending our classes. If you have other children with you, they will need to share a seat with you or sit on the floor within your social bubble.
- Members and spectators are asked to queue outside along the fence at AAAsports Sunderland, leaving room at the entrance for our previous class to leave.
- In the event of bad weather, we ask that Members remain in their cars until our previous class have left and our Coaches can grant you access to the facility.
- Members aged 15 and under must be collected promptly by a parent/guardian from the entrance at the end of the class. Members are not permitted to walk to parents waiting in cars or similar.
FACE COVERINGS
The rules around face coverings are changing on a regular basis! In line with current UK Government guidelines, our policy on face coverings is:
- Members taking part in our classes are not permitted to wear a face covering in their class
- Coaches are not required to wear a face covering
- Spectators consuming food and drink in our seating areas are not required to wear a face covering
- All other spectators are required to wear a face covering whilst in our seating areas.
- We ask that all spectators adhere to the social distancing rules which are in place to protect everyone!

- If you develop any symptoms of COVID-19 during your class, please let us know straight away - we have measures in place to deal with this situation safely!
