Freestyle
What is Freestyle?
Freestyle Gymnastics brings traditional gymnastics skills together with martial arts and stunt skills to create a totally unique experience! Members in Freestyle classes are able to develop their own unique skillset and create their own challenges in every class, making it perfect for Members who prefer a little less structure and a little more action!
What if I’ve never done Freestyle before?
No problem! Freestyle is designed to allow everyone to take on their own personal goals and challenges, and the AAAsports Coaches are always there to help! In your first class, your AAAsports Coach will introduce you to our apparatus and give you a safety briefing, after that it’s up to you to explore your abilities! But don’t worry, your AAAsports Coach will always be there to supervise you and to help if you need it!
What is the class structure like in Freestyle? Will I be by myself?
Freestyle classes all begin with a 15 minute floor warm-up, then it’s over to you to explore our apparatus, including AirTrack, Bars, Beam, Vault, Floor and even Trampolines! The AAAsports Coaches will always be there to supervise and provide you with new ideas and challenges, or to help you learn a new skill!
How many Members are there in a group?
There are no groups in Freestyle – Members are welcome to move safely from one apparatus piece to another whenever they wish!
Will I achieve any awards?
Because Freestyle has a more relaxed and less structured approach, there are no Awards to gain in Freestyle. Instead, Members are encouraged to set their own goals, and the AAAsports Coaches will help each Member to progress towards these targets each week!
Can I take part in any competitions?
There are no competitions in Freestyle – the only competition is against yourself! Freestyle is perfect for Members who don’t want the pressure of learning specific skills or achieving pre-determined targets. If you are looking for a competitive activity, we would suggest looking at our Trampoline, Gymnastics or Cheerleading activities instead.
