AAAsports Coaches and Members were certainly busy last weekend, with events taking place across the country in 3 disciplines! Starting the weekend off, Hannah, Isabel and Mya travelled to the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham for the Regional Team Finals, with Hannah and Mya competing in Trampoline and Isabel competing in DMT. All 3 girls were competing against the best competitors in their levels from across the UK, and performed exceptionally in such a large arena in front a huge crowd! Huge congratulations go out to Hannah, who qualified to the next round of this event and will be travelling to the NDP Finals in Coventry next month! A little closer to home in Hartlepool, Cameron and Demi took part in the Apparatus 2 competition. Competing across all 4 gymnastics pieces, both Members gave fantastic performances with Cameron placing 3rd overall in his category! Finally in Spennymoor, other Members of the Gymnastics Squads competed in the 2-Piece Pink Event, again with excellent results! There was tough competition for all Members, however there were amazing results with Charlotte and Annabelle placing 2nd and 6th in Floor, and Mya and Abbie placing 4th and 5th in Vault! Congratulations to all of our Members who competed across the weekend, and to their Coaches who supported their successes! Click here for full results of these events! The AAA* Awards are given to Members whose constant determination, achievement, work ethic and commitment to AAAsports exceeds their Coaches expectations and provide a shining example of excellence to other AAAsports Members. Each AAAsports Coach is able to nominate Members who they feel are worth recipients of these Awards, taking in to account their successes within the last 12 months. From there, the nominations are whittled down to 3 female and 3 male shortlisted Members, with the winner being announced at the AAAsports Presentation Ceremony! We're excited to announce that this year's AAA* Award Shortlist is as follows: AAA* Award 2019 - Female * Emily Wilson * Hannah Kehoe * Rosie Clark AAA* Award 2019 - Male * Cameron Tempest * Daniel Jones * Samuel Hindmarsh Congratulations to all nominated Members, and good luck to those shortlisted for the Presentation Ceremony! Members of the Intermediate Gymnastics Squads took part in the Apparatus Competition in Hartlepool this weekend, with many Members competing on Bar, Beam, Floor and Vault for the very first time! Members of the Trampoline Performance Squad are celebrating after success at the Spring Event Series event held in Sheffield! Both Dan and Ollie were competing to achieve a set of stringent qualifying criteria in order to compete at the biggest Trampoline competition in the UK - the British Championships - set to be held in Birmingham in September. After working solidly for over a year, the culmination of their hard work paid off as both boys achieved the qualification scores needed to progress to the British Championships and compete to be crowned Champion!
