Congratulations to AAAsports Members who took part in the Regional Schools Trampoline competition in Billingham this weekend!  There were some excellent results all round, including many Members who were taking part in their first ever competition!

Many of our Members managed podium places as well - starting the day off with a bang, Mya placed 3rd in the U11G Novice event.  This was quickly followed by Olly placing 2nd in the U11B Intermediate event before being joined on the podium by Dan, who placed 2nd in the U11B Elite event!  Rounding off the day, Isabel also placed 2nd in the U15G Novice event!

All 4 Members who gained podium places will now move forward to the next round of the competition, to be held in Huddersfield in February 2018!

Well done to everyone who took part and their Coaches!

AAAsports Sunderland hosted the Tyne & Wear Schools Trampoline Finals today in association with Tyne & Wear Sport, with the largest entry ever taking part in the event!

Over 600 pupils from across Tyne & Wear took part in 5 qualifying events across Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland in October, which were also supported by AAAsports.  Winners from each event then progressed through to the Final today, representing their own areas and battling to become Tyne & Wear Champion!

In the end, Gateshead partnership triumphed with a staggering 36 points, maintaining their unbeaten streak since the event was formed over 10 years ago.

The event was also a huge success for AAAsports Members, including Annie Thompson who placed 3rd in the Development KS3 Girls category and Hannah Kehoe who placed 2nd in the Beginner KS3 Girls category!  Well done to everyone who took part, and a huge thanks to everyone who has supported the event!

For the 4th year running, AAAsports are excited to announce our 2018 AAAsports Coach Education Programme will launch in January 2018!  The Coach Education Programme sees enthusiastic and driven candidates receive fully funded qualifications and employment with AAAsports once the course is completed!

Many of our existing AAAsports Coaches have joined the team through the Coach Education Programme, including Katie H.  Discussing the Programme, Katie says:
"I was part of the Coach Education Programme in the beginning of 2015 and it's been the best thing I've ever done.  I got loads out of it and really enjoyed it.  I started on the Programme initially and now I've progressed to more qualifications and it really gave me everything I wanted to do.  I'm looking forward to helping out everyone who makes it on to the Programme in the future!"

Congratulations go out to Members of the Intermediate Trampoline Squads who competed in the Regional NDP Trampoline event this weekend at Ashington Leisure Centre!

For many Members this was their first time representing AAAsports at a regional level, and their Coaches were incredibly impressed with the performances of everyone!

There were some excellent successes as well, with Emilia placing 2nd in the CDP 9-10 Female event, and the team of Alicia, Emilia, Isobel and Sadie placing 2nd in the Team event!
