AAAsports are excited to announce an upgrade of our facility at AAAsports Sunderland to include a sprung floor! We know that this will provide plenty of new thrilling opportunities for our Members across all of our disciplines!
New Sprung Floor & New Gym Layout
The new sprung floor is a full-size competition floor, meaning we need to create more space in our facility! With this in mind, we will be undertaking our biggest renovation project since opening AAAsports Sunderland 3½ years ago – by removing the Mezzanine floor! This will provide us with a brand new layout, including more usable space and facilities for our Members, helping our Members to improve their performances!
New Spectator Seating Area
In order to make the changes necessary to the gym itself, we will be removing the Mezzanine from our facility and creating a new, though smaller, spectator seating area. This dedicated area will improve our spectator experience, enabling a full view of our classes whilst providing access to working areas and electrical outlets for phones and other electrical equipment. In addition, this new area will feature an improved heating system for spectators for the winter months!
We will also be revamping our refreshment options and implementing a new staffing structure to provide a better service to spectators.
Whilst we will do everything within our power to minimise the disruption caused to our Members, we do appreciate your understanding for any inconvenience caused over the next few months as we carry out these renovations. In order to carry out these exciting renovations, it is necessary to cancel all classes at AAAsports Sunderland on the following dates:
We thank you in advance for your support during this transition period, and we look forward to an exciting future ahead!
Huge congratulations go out to the AAA Tigers, who earned a Silver Medal in the European Cheerleading Championships in Germany this weekend!
After qualifying to represent the UK through competitions earlier in 2019, the AAA Tigers performed against teams from across Europe in the Junior Group Stunt section and scored a fantastic Silver place in a very tough competition, and after just being pipped to the Gold place by a team from Russia.
This was an amazing set of results from a set of AAA Tigers who continue to get better and better, rounding off their best competition season ever! Congratulations to everyone who took part and their Coaches!
AAAsports Coaches and Members were certainly busy last weekend, with events taking place across the country in 3 disciplines!
Starting the weekend off, Hannah, Isabel and Mya travelled to the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham for the Regional Team Finals, with Hannah and Mya competing in Trampoline and Isabel competing in DMT. All 3 girls were competing against the best competitors in their levels from across the UK, and performed exceptionally in such a large arena in front a huge crowd! Huge congratulations go out to Hannah, who qualified to the next round of this event and will be travelling to the NDP Finals in Coventry next month!
A little closer to home in Hartlepool, Cameron and Demi took part in the Apparatus 2 competition. Competing across all 4 gymnastics pieces, both Members gave fantastic performances with Cameron placing 3rd overall in his category!
Finally in Spennymoor, other Members of the Gymnastics Squads competed in the 2-Piece Pink Event, again with excellent results! There was tough competition for all Members, however there were amazing results with Charlotte and Annabelle placing 2nd and 6th in Floor, and Mya and Abbie placing 4th and 5th in Vault!

Many of our Members provided help in our Marketplace, supported other Members and even judged throughout the day, all before helping to return the facility to its normal setup ready for classes the next day. Thank you to all of our Members and their families who helped make this day a success for everyone!
