AAAsports hosted the first Regional Trampoline & DMT NDP competition of the 2018/19 season this weekend, with Members from across our Intermediate Squads taking part in the event. Each Member was not only competing against other competitors in their category, but also aiming to gain the highest score possible to enable them to move to the next round of competition.
There were some fantastic results from across the event, especially for many of our Members who were competing at this level for the very first time! Three Members won their event and gained the scores needed to move forward to the next round:
* Emily - 1st - TRA Club Age 7-8 Female
* Mya - 1st - TRA NDP 3 Age 11-12 Female
* Ruby - 1st - TRA NDP 2 Age 9-10 Female
Meanwhile in the DMT event, our Members were again working towards qualification scores in addition to their overall position, with some great podium placings as well:
* Ava - 2nd - DMT NDP 1 Age 9-10 Female
* Isabel - 1st - DMT NDP 1 Age 13+ Female
* Mya - 1st - DMT NDP 2 Age 11-12 Female
This event also proved the incredible support shown to us by our our Coaches, our Academy Members, our Squad Members and their families, many of whom spent the entire day at AAAsports Sunderland helping to make sure the event was a success. Many of our Members provided help in our Marketplace, supported other Members and even judged throughout the day, all before helping to return the facility to its normal setup ready for classes the next day. Thank you to all of our Members and their families who helped make this day a success for everyone!

In conjunction with Tyne & Wear Sport, AAAsports hosted the Tyne & Wear Schools Trampoline Qualifying events across the region this week, with almost 700 secondary school pupils taking part in events in Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland.
Entry numbers have continued to rise, as each pupil compete to represent their region in the Tyne & Wear Schools Trampoline Final, to be held at AAAsports Sunderland on Wednesday 14th November 2018. Each pupil performs one compulsory routine and one voluntary routine, with pupils competing both individually and in teams in 4 different competition levels.
At the Tyne & Wear Final, all Beginner and Novice pupils will compete from 9:30am to 12:15pm, whilst all Development and Elite pupils will compete from 12:45pm to 3:00pm.

As part of our ongoing redevelopment of AAAsports Sunderland, it has become necessary to close our toilet and changing area from 1pm on Saturday 13th October until 5pm on Monday 15th October 2018.
In order to minimise disruption to our Members, our classes will continue to run as normal during these times however there will be no toilet or changing facilities available. We advise that all Members arrive fully changed and ready to take part in their activities and that they use toilet facilities elsewhere before arriving for their class.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our Members, and we appreciate your understanding while we enhance these areas for your future use!
Congratulations to Members of the Development and Performance Trampoline and DMT Squads who competed in South Shields over the weekend in the final Trampoline League qualification event of the year. The pressure was on as Members worked to gain valuable League Points, enough of which secures a space in the Trampoline League Finals event in Sheffield later in the year.
The team were celebrating with some fantastic results across Trampoline, DMT and Synchro, with points gained by several Members who now face an anxious wait to see if they have accumulated enough points for that Finals qualification place!
The weekend was also extra special for Hannah, who competed in her very first Trampoline League event, and our many fantastic volunteers who gave up their time to help us to deliver this competition. Thank you for all of your help across the weekend!
