AAAsports are set to host their first ever Virtual Championships throughout January and February 2021, bringing back the opportunity to compete and perform to all of their Members!

With Tier 4 restrictions now in place, all AAAsports Classes will move back online as Members will be taken through a series of pre-designed Classes with our Coaches to prepare every Member for their opportunity to take part in the Virtual Championships!  And thanks to our friends at MyPetStop, the AAAsports Virtual Championships will be available at NO EXTRA COST to AAAsports Members!

Members will have the opportunity to perform their routine for our judges and a virtual audience, with every Member receiving a medal based on their own performance!  Meanwhile, we will be looking to crown our first ever Virtual Champion in our Elite event!

All Members who take part in the Virtual Championships will receive a medal of participation, plus an invite to our Virtual Presentation Ceremony to be held later in the year!

If you're already a AAAsports Member, you'll automatically be signed up to take part in the Virtual Championships - check your email for more information!  If you're new to AAAsports, simply enrol online now and you can take part too!

The AAAsports Championships will begin at 9:00am on Saturday 22nd June at AAAsports Sunderland, with Members from Cheerleading, DMT, Gymnastics and Trampoline performing their routines across the day.  Don't miss out Elite Showcase event at 1:30pm to watch our most proficient Members compete to be crowned AAAsports Champion 2019!

The AAAsports Presentation Ceremony will begin at 2:30pm on Sunday 23rd June at Rainton Meadows Arena, with Members from across AAAsports coming together to celebrate a fantastic year and receive their medals and certificates from the Championships event on stage!  This is followed by a disco and a whole host of games, with prizes to be won!

Spectating at the AAAsports Championships is free of charge, whilst tickets for the Presentation Ceremony can now be bought online at £18 per ticket.

The AAA* Awards are given to Members whose constant determination, achievement, work ethic and commitment to AAAsports exceeds their Coaches expectations and provide a shining example of excellence to other AAAsports Members.

Each AAAsports Coach is able to nominate Members who they feel are worth recipients of these Awards, taking in to account their successes within the last 12 months.  From there, the nominations are whittled down to 3 female and 3 male shortlisted Members, with the winner being announced at the AAAsports Presentation Ceremony!

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the AAAsports Championships & Presentation Ceremony this weekend!  Held over two days for the first time ever, the weekend provided an amazing showcase for the outstanding progress our Members have made across the previous year.

There were spectacular performances from our Members on Saturday in Pre-School, DMT, Gymnastics, Cheerleading and Trampoline, with our amazing Presentation Ceremony held at Rainton Meadows following on Sunday where every Member who took part received their medals and certificates up on stage!

Don't forget - the dates for the 2019 event have already been announced - put Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd June in your diaries now!

Saturday 23rd June - AAAsports Championships - AAAsports Sunderland
The AAAsports Championships will start off with our DMT and Pre-School Members in action, before progressing to Gymnastics, Trampoline and Cheerleading throughout the remainder of the day!

At 1:30pm, our most experienced Members will take part in our Showcase Final, where they will pull out all the stops to try and become a 2018 Champion!  It's always incredible to watch our Members in action, and this year is shaping up to be the most exciting yet!

Sunday 24th June - AAAsports Presentation Ceremony - Rainton Meadows Arena
After the thrill of the AAAsports Championships comes the fun of the Presentation Ceremony!  Members from across AAAsports will gather together to celebrate our successes from across the previous year, while Members who took part in the AAAsports Championships will receive their medal and certificate on stage!

But that's not all!  The Presentation Ceremony will also see performances from the AAA Tigers, food, refreshments, special effects, disco, games and plenty of opportunities to win prizes too!  Every Member who takes part in the AAAsports Championships already has a ticket included with their entry - additional tickets are available for £18 per person here!

If you haven't already entered the AAAsports Championships, don't wait any longer!  Today is the last day to get your entries in and take part in the biggest and best event in the AAAsports calendar!

Saturday 23rd June will see Members from across AAAsports locations and activities take part in a fun, friendly event at AAAsports Sunderland, demonstrating what they've learned over the last year!

Then on Sunday 24th June, it's off to Rainton Meadows Arena to see our Members receive the medals and certificates on stage, complete with fireworks, lights, music, videos and more, all followed with a disco, games and plenty of prizes to win!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete our Questionnaire over the last few weeks - your feedback is really important to us and helps us to further improve AAAsports classes for every Member!

The results have now been compiled and we're overjoyed at the feedback that we've received!  Our overall satisfaction scores have risen even further to a staggering 95.59%, so we're confident that our Member are enjoying our classes too!

We are always looking for ways to improve AAAsports though, and based on your responses we have a number of updates and changes planned for 2017/18!

Progression
You told us that progression in our classes is incredibly important - and we agree with you!  This year we have launched Advanced Recreation classes in Trampoline and Gymnastics which have proven incredibly popular with our Members and we will continue to develop this area for the future.  Members have also approved our decision to increase the number of Award Assessment weeks to 6 per year and we will aim to promote these further in advance over the coming year.

Our Squad programme has also proven to be very successful this year, and the standard of performance seen in our recent Squad Testing Days was incredibly high.  We have increased the Squad programme for the 2017/18 season and will look to continue to expand this programme across the year where necessary.


Communication
While the feedback has improved for this section, Members think that communication with AAAsports could be better!  This is something that we will be focusing on over the 2017/18 season.  We would like to remind Members that all communication from AAAsports is sent via the email address stored in your myAAA account, so please make sure to keep this up to date.  In addition, our Office is staffed from 10am every weekday and can be contacted on 03335 776787.  Members believe our use of social media has improved through this year, and we will be looking to further develop this for the upcoming season so make sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter!

We also had some requests for a 'Parents Meeting' - we have offered to run these events in the past but they did not prove popular.  However, our team are always ready to answer any questions or queries you may have by emailing [email protected] - alternatively we will be happy to arrange a face-to-face meeting with any parents if they prefer!


Supervision
A few parents have raised questions regarding the supervision of Members during their classes.  We would like to take this opportunity to remind parents that Members under the age of 8 must have a parent/guardian present at all times whilst taking part in classes and parents/guardians are responsible for taking younger Members to and from the toilet area.  Members under the age of 16 must also be collected from the activity area at the end of every class.

Our low Coach to Member ratio has been celebrated by many of our Members too, although some parents were unsure on our ratios.  Although we can take up to 16 Members per Coach, however we believe that this is far too high and doesn't provide Members with a great experience!  Therefore, AAAsports aims to maintain a maximum group size of:
* 8 Members to 1 Coach in Gymnastics, DMT and Pre-School Gymnastics, using 1 piece of apparatus at a time
* 10 Members to 1 Coach in Trampoline and Pre-School Trampoline, split across 2 trampolines
* 10 Members to 1 Coach in Cheerleading and Freestyle

You've told us that you absolutely loved this event - in fact 100% of Members who attended rated the event either Good or Excellent!  You have told us that the food at the Presentation Ceremony was disappointing though - unfortunately this is out of our control but we will be working with the venue to try and improve this for the 2018 event.

Once that's over, the real fun begins!  The AAAsports Presentation Ceremony takes place at Rainton Meadows Arena in the evening, where every Member who has taken part will receive a medal and certificate on the stage, before celebrating their successes with a disco and buffet, plus loads of games and prizes to be won!
