AAAsports are delighted to be working in partnership with British Gymnastics on an exciting pilot scheme for the registration of our Members with British Gymnastics. The new pilot scheme is now live, and we would like to thank all of our Members for their patience over the the last few months whilst this scheme was finalised! AAAsports Members will now be able to register with British Gymnastics directly through their myAAA account. To do this, all current AAAsports Members must log in to their myAAA account and accept the Student Policy which has been added to your account by Friday 29th November 2019 - this will enable us to complete your registration with British Gymnastics. Thank you again for your support during this pilot scheme, and we welcome any feedback that you may have on the scheme! This week, AAAsports worked with Tyne & Wear Sport to deliver Trampoline qualification events in Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland as part of the Tyne & Wear Schools Trampoline competition. Over 800 pupils aged between 11-16 years old took part across the 5 events, with the top placed pupils in each category moving forward to represent their region at the Tyne & Wear Finals, to be held at AAAsports Sunderland later in the year. AAAsports Members were amongst the successful qualifiers at the event, with Callie, Dan and Grace qualifying to represent Sunderland, while Hannah and Izzy qualified to the Gateshead team! Congratulations to everyone who took part - full results from all areas can be found here. Representatives from Tyne & Wear Sport made a surprise visit to our classes this week to recognise the passion and dedication shown by our Participation Manager Emily towards all of our Members. Emily has inspired a generation of Members to work hard to achieve their goals, and has created a Participation Programme to ensure that every Member can thrive in our classes. But that's not the only recognition Emily has received this year! Emily's knowledge and support for Disability Gymnastics saw her become an Inclusion Specialist for British Gymnastics - one of only a handful in the UK! As part of this role, Emily helps to shape the future of Disability Gymnastics across the country, providing support to Coaches and Clubs to enable them to make their classes suitable for everyone. Emily's passion has always been to provide high-quality classes that everyone can enjoy, and holding qualifications in Trampoline, DMT, Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Freestyle and Pre-School Gymnastics, Emily has made sure to plan programmes that can help everyone to achieve their dreams! Well done Emily! |
