Academy Members Visit Capital Radio!

The AAAsports Academy provides unique opportunities for our Members to gain qualifications and get involved in special events within our fantastic sport.  In Easter 2018, Academy Members organised an Easter Fun Day as part of their 'Intro To Events' award.  The Fun Day was held at AAAsports Sunderland and was totally organised by our Academy Members aged 12 to 16, with over 80 members of the community coming along and taking part!

Our friends at Capital Radio heard all about how successfully the event had been organised, and to congratulate our Academy Members they were invited to come along to the Capital Radio studios in Newcastle for a full tour of the studios!

The group were provided with a fantastic brunch on arrival and given a tour of the facilities while learning about the radio stations broadcast from the studios in Newcastle.  Then the group were taken in to the Capital Radio studio where they met with Breakfast Show presenters Bodg, Matt & Hannah!  In the studio there were fun and games with everyone, as well as learning more about how the radio station works and time for some photos too!
