Members of the AAAsports Trampoline & DMT Squads travelled to Burgess Hill this weekend to take part in the first League Event of the 2019 season. Competing across Individual Trampoline, Synchro Trampoline and DMT, Members had a busy weekend trying to earn points towards the League Finals event being held in November 2019. In the Individual Trampoline event, Dan secured 100 points towards qualification and placed first in his League 1 group, while Ollie achieved 100 points and first place in his first ever League 2 event! In the Synchro Trampoline event, the boys placed 2nd and gained 75 points towards League Finals! In DMT, Ollie and Dan placed first and second respectively, whilst Hannah placed 4th and picked up 50 points towards her League Final campaign! Due to the European Election Count being held at the Louisa Centre, all AAAsports classes at the Louisa Centre are cancelled on Thursday 23rd May 2019. Award Assessments for these classes will now take place on Thursday 30th May 2019. All other classes are unaffected - thank you for your understanding!
Our April Member of the Month have been announced! Our Participation Member of the Month this month is Belinda! One of our youngest Members in our Gymnastics classes at the Raich Carter Sports Centre, Belinda always works hard to impress her Coaches and improve her skills! Belinda is always smiling, always happy and a true joy to coach! Well done Belinda! Our Squad Member of the Month this month is Matilda! A Member of our Intermediate Gymnastics Squad, Matilda's work ethic is second-to-none! Even when Matilda finds a skill difficult, her determination shines through and works solidly until she achieves her skill! Congratulations Matilda! Both girls will receive a AAAsports goodie bag - who will be the Member of the Month for May?! AAAsports Gymnastics Squad Members travelled to Hartlepool last weekend to compete in the second Floor & Vault competition of 2019! A fantastic performance from all 3 Members competing in the event saw Cameron and Isabel both place 4th in their respective categories! Well done to everyone who competed and their Coaches! We hope all of our Members and their families have a great Easter! The most important date in the AAAsports calendar is quickly approaching, and we can't wait! Then on Sunday 23rd June, AAAsports will relocate to Rainton Meadows Arena for our Presentation Ceremony. Doors will open around 2:30pm which will be followed with every member receiving a medal and certificate on stage. But the fun doesn't stop there - we will also have a photo wall, games, prizes, highlights from the year, fireworks, special effects and a disco!!

AAAsports is involved in Gymnastics at all levels, and this term it was time for school pupils in Sunderland to perform as part of the Sunderland Key Steps Gymnastics competition! Held over 2 days at AAAsports Sunderland, school pupils from across the city performed a floor routine and vault pass in front of the judges from AAAsports. Each pupil was aiming to earn points for their team, with the highest scoring teams progressing to the Tyne & Wear Final, which will be held later in the year. This year's winning teams were: * Key Step 1 - Valley Road Academy * Key Step 2 - St Mary's Academy (Team A) * Key Step 3 - Bexhill Academy Full results from the event can be found here. As an extra bonus, AAAsports Coaches were also on hand to give pupils the chance to try out activities they don't normally have in their school, including Trampolines and Bars! Members of the AAAsports Gymnastics Squads travelled to Gateshead this weekend for the first round of the NEGA Floor & Vault competitions! Many Members competing in this event were competing for the very first time! Competing routines on floor and passes on vault, Members took on other competitors from across the North of England and achieved an excellent set of results, including several podium finishes, most notably in the U12 category with Angela finishing 6th, Lily in 5th, Louisa in 4th and Milly in 3rd! In the Boys U10 category, Lennox joined the girls on the podium and finished in 3rd place! Well done to everyone who took part and their Coaches - full results can be downloaded here! Our March Members of the Month have now been announced, and they're fantastic winners yet again! Our Participation Member of the Month is Rafaela! As a Member in our Adults Trampoline class, Rafaela has recently started working on her Front Somersaults and is showing great bravery and determination to achieve this new skill! Our Squad Member of the Month is Ciara! Training in our Intermediate Gymnastics Squad at the Louisa Centre, Ciara has recently achieved her Back Handspring on floor by herself and is now working towards her next competition this weekend, impressing our Coaches in the process! Well done to both Members! Congratulations go out to Performance Gymnastics Squad Members Abbie and Mya who took part in the Regional Grades competition in Newcastle last weekend. This was the first time either girl had competed in the Regional Grades event, despite having plenty of previous competition experience. The nerves clearly held out on Floor, with both girls achieving the same score of 12.45, which was the highest score in the whole event! Following her success on Floor, Mya then went on to claim 3rd overall! Well done to both girls and their Coaches! Due to a Schools Gymnastics competition being held at AAAsports Sunderland, all Pre-School classes at AAAsports Sunderland will be cancelled on Monday 1st April. All other classes will run as normal!
The AAA Tigers are celebrating their success at the UKCA Nationals in Manchester last weekend, after scooping a host of podium finishes at this prestigious event! Competing against teams from across the UK, the AAA Tigers faced their toughest competition to date but brought away some fantastic results: * Junior A Level 1 Cheer - 4th * Junior B Level 1 Cheer - 1st * Junior B Level 2 Cheer - 2nd * Junior B Level 3 Cheer - 1st * Junior A Level 2 Group Stunt - 3rd * Junior B Level 1 Group Stunt - 2nd * Junior B Level 2 Group Stunt - 3rd * Junior B Level 3 Group Stunt - 4th In addition, the Junior B Level 5 Group Stunt placed 2nd, which when combined with their previous performances was enough to secure a space to represent the UK at the European Cheerleading Championships in Germany in July 2019! Running every Monday and Thursday throughout the holidays, these are fun for everyone! For our Squad Members, we have a range of additional training opportunities too - just in time for competition season! Mondays will see additional DMT training, Wednesdays will have Trampoline and Gymnastics training while Thursdays will have Cheerleading training both weeks! As the competition season starts to heat up, it was back to the Gymnastics Squads this weekend as they travelled to Redcar to compete in the North Grades Gymnastics event! For many of our Members, this was the first time competing in this event - for some it was their first ever competition! Competing across Bar, Beam, Floor and Vault against very strong competition, the girls were both aiming to achieve a Top 6 finish and to gain achievement levels in the event! Despite some simple mistakes and lots of pre-competition nerves, our Squad Members produced some excellent results, including Emma placing 5th, Ruby placing 3rd and the U12s team placing 2nd! In addition, every Squad Member achieved a 'Pass' in their chosen levels, with Grace, Emma and Ruby all achieving a distinction in the chosen level! After a short delay in receiving the results, we are now pleased to confirm the results of the NDP Regional Trampoline Finals, held in Penrith on 3rd March! In the main NDP levels, our Trampoline Squad Members were competing for a place in the North of England team at the Regional Team Finals in Birmingham in June, with Members needing to achieve minimum scores in Trampoline, DMT and their conditioning routines. We're now happy to confirm that following the results of the event, Mya, Hannah and Isabel all secured spaces in the team by placing in the top 2 and achieving the minimum requirements! Well done girls! Whilst not competing to join the North of England team, we also had great success in the CDP levels with Isabelle placing 3rd, Sam placing 2nd and Emily placing 1st! Mia has been selected as the Participation Member of the Month for her great progress within our classes. When joining our classes, Mia was shy and struggled to join in with the activities but now is confident in all rotations within each class and now performs Vault unaided! Hannah has been selected as the Squad Member of the Month, through hard work and dedication has now achieved a whole new set of skills and passes on DMT. Hannah has also transferred in to the Development Trampoline Squad and always supports her team Members. Congratulations to both Members, who both receive a AAAsports Goodie Bag! Congratulations to Dan, Ollie and Sam who competed in the National Schools Trampoline competition this weekend in Cannock, West Midlands! All 3 boys had qualified to this event through a Regional round held in Ashington and a Zonal round held in Belfast, competing in the final against the best competitors from across the UK! All 3 boys performed great routines and came out with some fantastic results! In the Y1-6 Novice Boys event, Sam performed two great routines to be crowned British Champion 2019 in his first year of competition! Meanwhile, in the Y1-6 Elite Boys event, Ollie secured a great 4th place finish while Dan performed an excellent set of routines and became the Y1-6 Elite Boys British Champion! Congratulations to all 3 boys and their Coaches, and a special thank you to all of the parents who have supported all of our Members through each round of these competitions! A fantastic weekend for Members of the Intermediate Gymnastics Squads, competing in their first ever Regional level competition at Catterick this weekend. Competing on both floor and vault, Members performed for the judges and the crowd at the busy event, combating nerves to gain some excellent results! All of our Members performed exceptionally, but special mentions to go Lily who placed 6th and Milly who placed 5th in the 12 & Under event, while Erin placed 3rd in the 10 & Under event! Congratulations to all of our Members who took part, their Coaches who helped achieve these fantastic results and the parents for their support throughout the event!
AAAsports Trampoline & DMT Squads are celebrating after huge wins at the second NDP competition of the season! Held in Billingham, Members were competing for both podium placings and qualification scores towards the Regional Final, to be held in Penrith next month. An excellent set of performances from across the Squads resulted in 10 podium finishes for our Members! Standout performance of the day came from Mya, who managed to achieve a podium finish in both Trampoline and DMT! Thank you to all of our Members and parents who attended the event purely to support our Squad - your enthusiasm really helped us to secure such excellent results! Full results will be available online as soon as they are released! New for 2019, AAAsports are excited to announce our very own Member of the Month award! Coaches will nominate a Squad Member and a Participation Member each month to win these Awards, based on their work within our classes! This months Squad Member of the Month is Charlotte, who has worked solidly in her Cheerleading classes throughout the month. Charlotte's Coaches have told of Charlotte's determination and resilience - whenever Charlotte gets knocked down she gets straight back up and continues to power through any task she is given! Well done Charlotte! January's Participation Member of the Month is Florence, receiving multiple nominations from her Coaches at the Louisa Centre this month. The Coaches were impressed with Florence's excellent work ethic in her Gymnastics classes as she continues to work on her Recreation Level skills. Florence's happy and friendly attitude also makes Florence a pleasure to Coach! Congratulations Florence! Trampoline Members from across AAAsports travelled to Northern Ireland this weekend to compete in the Zonal Schools Trampoline Competition. Having qualified to compete in this event back in December in Ashington, Ava, Dan, Hannah, Ollie, Sam and Tom all flew across the Irish Sea to compete against the best competitors from Yorkshire, North West and Northern Ireland. Competition was fierce, with everyone aiming to qualify to the National Schools Trampoline Finals being held in March in the West Midlands. All 7 AAAsports Members performed excellent routines and came away with some fantastic results, especially Ollie, Dan and Sam who all finished on the podium and qualified to compete in the next round! Well done everyone! Following the competition, the team took the chance to visit the sights of Belfast, including the Titanic Museum and the Dome at Victoria Square!
